Daniel Kellogg (composer)

Daniel Kellogg (born 1976 in Wilton, Connecticut) is an American composer. Kellogg is Assistant Professor of Music at the College of Music of the University of Colorado at Boulder, teaching music composition, counterpoint and orchestration. Life Kellogg received his Bachelor of Music in 1999 from the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, and Master of Music in 2001, Master of Musical Arts in 2003, and Doctor of Musical Arts in 2007 from the Yale School of Music. He also studied at Indiana University School of Music (1994-1996), the Aspen Music Festival and School (1995-1996), and the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival as a 1997 fellow. His teachers have included Martin Bresnick, Jacob Druckman, Don Freund, Jennifer Higdon, Ezra Laderman, Ned Rorem, and Joseph Schwantner. Kellogg’s notable students include Lawrence Wilde.
