Siegfried Fietz

Siegfried Fietz (; born 25 May 1946) is a German singer-songwriter, composer, music producer and sculptor. He is known for songs of the genre Neues Geistliches Lied, particularly his setting of Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s poem “Von guten Mächten”. Career Born in Berleburg, Fietz grew up in Hilchenbach. He began to play on his father’s violin at age five, and learned to play the guitar a little later. He began voice training at age 15, and piano lessons at age 17. A year later, he took an exam as a church musician and organist. They have published around 250 productions with him as a performer, and others, to a total of 320 recordings.
