Slamet Abdul Sjukur (30 June 1935 – 24 March 2015) was the founding father of contemporary Indonesian music. He studied and worked in Paris under Olivier Messiaen and Henri Dutilleux. He was a lecturer at IKJ (Institut Kesenian Jakarta) but due to his unconventional ideas, he eventually had to leave. He lives in Jakarta, and Surabaya as a freelance composer, teacher, and music critic. Sjukur developed the idea of minimax in music, with his compositions notable for their minimal constellation of sounds and numerological basis, indicating his interest in a new “ecology of music”. This concept views limitations not as obstructions but as challenges to work with simple material, maximally. His honors include the Bronze Medal from the Festival de Jeux d’Automne in Dijon (1974), the Golden Record from the Académie Charles Cros in France (1975, for Angklung), and the Zoltán Kodály Commemorative Medal in Hungary (1983). Slobodan Trkulja (, ; born 29 May 1977) is a Serbian multi-instrumentalist, composer and singer in traditional and Byzantium style. Trkulja is one of the first artists who composed, performed, and popularized Balkan Traditional Music with a modern approach in arrangements. He is the founder of the Modern Balkan Tradition music genre, although he is most famous for his collaboration with Metropole Orchestra from Netherlands in 2008. Aside from playing 13 instruments, Dutch daily NRC Handelsblad called him “one of the most beautiful male voices of the Balkan.” He had no formal music training until 1997, but attended a public high school in Sremski Karlovci. Slobodan moved to Netherlands in 1997, and returned to Serbia in 2008, where he has been since. Dag Holtan-Hartwig (born April 16, 1991), known professionally as Slopes, is a Norwegian singer, composer and music producer. Biography Holtan-Hartwig grew up in a musical family in a suburb of Oslo and began playing in bands at the age of twelve. In England, he enrolled at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) and performed there in front of Sir Paul McCartney, who gave him important advice. At LIPA, he met fellow Norwegian singer Halvor Folstad and started to work with him. Both got a record contract in Norway. After the training they went their separate ways. Folstad returned to Oslo, and Holtan-Hartwig worked as a producer in London and later in Los Angeles. Returning to Oslo, Holtan-Hartwig and Folstad formed the duo Skinny Days in 2015 and released their debut single Alright Right Now. As songwriters and producers for other artists, Folstad and Holtan-Hartwig have been responsible for billions of streams for artists such as Ava Max, Alan Walker, SeeB, and Julie Bergan.
