Treble Clef Notes on the Staff
Find G on the second line, then read every nearby note by step or skip.
Read treble clef from the G line.
The clef curls around the second line, G4. The lines are E–G–B–D–F and the spaces are F–A–C–E, but landmark reading remains reliable when a note moves beyond the staff.
Practice order
- Notes inside the staff.
- Middle C and nearby ledger notes.
- Accidentals after natural-note accuracy reaches 90% twice.

Lines, spaces, and landmarks
The staff lines from bottom to top are E–G–B–D–F; the spaces are F–A–C–E. Mnemonics can help at first, but fluent readers return to G4 and recognize distance. Middle C sits on the first ledger line below the treble staff.
Practice path
Begin with notes inside the staff, reach 90% accuracy twice, then add middle C and ledger lines. Use letter buttons for speed, the keyboard view for pitch-class connection, or text input as an accessible fallback.
