How to Read Bass Clef Notes

Find the F-line, then read outward by step and skip.

Objective

Read bass-clef notes from the F-line landmark and transfer that recognition into an authentic score-derived worksheet.

Worked example

The two dots of the bass clef surround the fourth line. That line is F3. One step above is G3; one step below is E3. Rehearse the relationship aloud before naming a distant note.
