Five-Minute Note-Reading Warm-Up

Open class with one focused sequence and a real printable companion.

Five-minute sequence

  1. 0:00–1:00 Listen: play the homepage interval twice; students show the number with fingers.
  2. 1:00–2:30 Name: project four treble notes and read from the G-line landmark.
  3. 2:30–4:30 Write: print one note-naming set and complete the first row.
  4. 4:30–5:00 Review: reveal answers and ask students to explain one correction.

Common misconception

Students often treat line and space mnemonics as separate systems. Reconnect both to a landmark note and stepwise letter motion.

Print guidance

Use 100% scale on A4 or US Letter. Print the answer key separately for the teacher; do not hand out the key with the student sheet.
